The toughest cookie to crack in the world of racebook betting is without a doubt the Superfecta bet. The superfecta consists of a single bet where the player selects the first, second, third and fourth position winning horses in the exact same finishing order; you may find these bets are also referred to as Straight Superfectas. Some tracks choose not to offer this bet type, but can be greatly rewarding when available. The minimum standard cost for horse racing Superfecta bets is $2 US.

Superfecta Box:

In the exact same fashion as the Exacta and Trifecta bets, Superfectas may be "boxed" in order to enable to player to bet every possible top four spot combination with a selected number of 3 or more horses. The standard minimum cost of a Superfecta Box bet is $1 US.

Superfecta Example:

Churchill Downs, Race #5

Superfecta Box with Horses 1, 4, 5 and 7.

In this bet, the player is making a Superfecta Box bet on horses 1, 4, 5 and 7, to finish in the 4 top positions, no matter which order. If making a $1 Superfecta Box, the total number of possible combinations would be 24, thus, the total cost of your bet would be $24.

Superfecta Part Wheel:

Handicapping experts can turn to the Superfecta Part Wheel bet in those instances in which they feel pretty certain about which horse will finish first, but remain unsure about the following 3 finishing spots. A Superfecta Wheel allows you to select One Key horse (the horse expected to land the Win position) and to choose another 3 horses to take the remaining 3 finishing posts in whichever final order. The standard minimum cost per Superfecta Wheel combination is $1 US.

Superfecta Wheel Example:

Sam Houston, Race #6.

Superfecta Part Wheel with 7 WITH 2, 6 and 9.

In this bet, the player is choosing horse 7 to win and then horses 2, 6 and 9 to take the 3 remaining top spots, no matter the order.
