March Madness 2019 Favorites, NCAA College Basketball Betting

March Madness has descended upon the basketball universe – now is the time to get your picks in for the 2019 Men’s tournament. Some exciting storylines are going into this year’s bracket. Which team is likely to get upset? Which team has the best chance to take home a winner? Betmania spells it all out for you in our dedicated NCAA basketball previews section!

Duke

All eyes are on Zion – this is Duke’s time to shine, and now that their star player is healthy again after leading his team to an ACC Championship, he will take to the biggest stage of his career yet. Duke is at +200 odds to bring home a championship on our sportsbook, and they should be among the top three favorites on anyone’s bracket. Their only competition in the region is Michigan State, who is no slouch, so Duke has to be careful not to take them lightly. Apart from that, the East Regional is Duke’s to lose.

Gonzaga

The Zags can take a breath of fresh air after it was revealed that they were seeded as a #1 team, but they still have some retooling to do after losing the West Coast Conference Championship game 60-47 to St Mary’s. This Gonzaga team that stormed through the regular season, and with +125 odds they are the safest bet on our sportsbook. The biggest hurdle for them will be the likely matchup with the Michigan Wolverines. Due to the lack of competition in the region, the teams are almost guaranteed to meet. Zags vs. Wolverines would be a matchup of the 2017 and 2018 National Championship games, as well as the #1 offense (Gon) and #2 defense (Mich).

Gonzaga and Duke are the two favorites to win it all, who do you think is going to be the 2019 NCAA Champion. Register now at Betmania and enjoy the best March Madness betting odds, college basketball futures and prop bets.

Michigan

As a number 2 seed, Michigan finished the season at 28-6 and barely lost the Big Ten title to rival Michigan State. They were undefeated for their first 17 games of the season; a lot of their success is due to a smothering defense but is also contingent on getting a balanced offense. They don’t have a standout scorer outside of Ignas Bazdeikis, but they are still among the favorites on our sportsbook to win it all at +275 odds. Should the offense dry up as it did in January of this year, Michigan could be in trouble. The good news is that the bracket they are in is very similar to the one they won last year when the Wolverines had to go through Texas A&M and Florida State to reach the Final Four.

Texas Tech

The Red Raiders are Another interesting team, who slipped to the number 9 spot in the AP top 25 poll just before the tournament and are +550 odds on our sportsbook. Texas Tech is coming off one of the best seasons in their program’s history, a 26-6 campaign that ended with them sharing the Big 12 Conference regular-season championship for the first time in their history. They were bumped from the Big 12 Championship in the quarterfinals by West Virginia, however, which explains their drop in the rankings before the tournament. Should they avoid getting upset in the first two rounds, they could pose a threat to the power balance of this regional bracket.

Florida State

Last year Florida State made an upset run in the tournament, advancing to the Elite 8 for the third time in school history after defeating Gonzaga in the Sweet 16. This year they have followed up on that success, having finished 27-7 in the regular season and appearing in the ACC championship game, where they gave Duke all they could handle. Despite all of that, the Seminoles were snubbed by the selection committee this year, ending up in the No. 4 spot. That gives them a tough road in a difficult region, but no team in the bracket should be excited to match up against this determined and dangerous squad that is a +600 to win it all on our sportsbook.
