Shevchenko Is Seeking Revenge

Shevchenko’s overall mixed martial arts record is 17-3. In this fight, the Kyrgyzstani–Peruvian fighter will be trying to get revenge. Carmouche 2 is one of the only two fighters that have handed the current champ a loss.
Carmouche defeated Shevchenko via TKO at C3 Fights: Red River Rivalry, back in 2010, but the Shevchenko has only lost two bouts, both to Amanda Nunes.

According to Shevchenko, this loss to Carmouche was a bad decision from the judge, as she believed she still had chances of defeating the American. “I was dominating all-round, and then, she throws the heel, and it landed right on my brow. So [I got] this cut on the eye and the doctor decided to stop the fight. This was not the way I planned [it], I was ready to continue the fight, but the doctor decided a different way.” Shevchenko said.
When it comes to Carmouche, who’s 13-6, she has won her last two fights, with her latest win coming over Lucie Pudilova back in February.

Shevchenko vs. Carmouche 2 odds: Who Are These Fighters?

Now, if you want to bet this fight with the best UFC betting odds, it’s critical to have a better idea of who these female fighters are.

Who is Valentina Shevchenko?

She got her current title after taking down Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 231, a fighter she had already beaten in 3 different amateur Muay Thai bouts.
Then, it was her turn to defend her belt against Jessica Eye, knocking her out in the second round.
And, as of June 10, 2019, she’s ranked as number 13 in UFC pound-for-pound fighters.
Now she’s putting her title on the line against Carmouche, a fighter she previously fought, and lost to, at 135 pounds.
But, things seem to be favoring Shevchenko this time around, as she’s fighting Carmouche at 125 pounds, a division she owns as she’s currently undefeated.

Who is Liz Carmouche?

She competed in the first UFC women’s bout for the Female Bantamweight title versus Ronda Rousey at UFC 157 on February 23, 2013, losing to the latter fighter by submission.

She began her career back in 2010, winning her first 3 bouts by submission or knockout.

Carmouche started as a Strikeforce fighter, beginning with a win over Colleen Schneider by unanimous decision.

Then, she went on to win her next bout against Shevchenko, her upcoming opponent, by TKO (doctor stoppage).

Next, Carmouche started competing for Invicta Fighting Championships, winning her first bout with this promotion versus Ashleigh Curry by TKO. Then, she won one more fight against Kaitlin Young before switching promotions to UFC. As mentioned above, she lost that fight against the most well-known female face at the UFC: Rousey.

And, after making this move, she has won 5 UFC fights versus just 3 losses.
